DVD et CD de fabrication est un processus qui n'est pas bien comprise par le grand public. En effet, c'est la compréhension que les procédures qui entrent dans la fabrication de disques implique un mélange complexe de la chimie que la moyenne non-chimiste aura du mal à digérer! Toutefois, le processus complexe dans la plupart des DVD et de fabrication de CD est en fait le processus de galvanoplastie.
